i enrolled in one of ITE's short courses
- beginners AutoCad 2006
and just had my 1st lesson last night
a total 180degress from my business modules eh..lol
anyways, seems quite fun
can't wait for the next lesson
except for one thing
the school ah, dun like to on most of the lights
at the staircase, the only bit of 'light' is the faint glow of the exit signs
and the not so bright blue light from my handphone's keypads
good thing i didn't slip and die! lol
i better remember my super bright torchlight next time i'm there

after about 3 yrs, 5 mths (oh yea, it has been that long...and i know ur wondering who keeps a mobile phone for THAT long...)
haha...anyways
i like this new mobile, but i kinda miss my old phone
i'm never gonna see my old phone again!!! (cos nokia sacrificed itself for moto)
actually i got this new phone by chance
dad wanted to get new batteries for his phone and somehow the salesperson started talking about trading in the phone
blah blah blah long story short, i decided to do a trade-in
they're actually willing to pay S$120 for my 7210
i thought it was only worth about S$50 (so! $120, better now than never!)
the new phone's doing good
just not a lot of space for messages
anyways, i dunno why i'm watching singapore idol
i never really watched the 1st season, never interested
i think maybe cos i wanna see how paul and rahimah performs
ayio, the show yesterday was quite horrible
dunno how to choose suitable songs
oh yaya...hahah....there's this jay guy right
he has a weird creepy look
i like creepy things, espically creepy shadows of trees or the creepy lights you see in a quite quite park
but he just has that LOOK...
that look that makes you wanna walk faster and awayyy
not that look that makes you think "ooo, deeeep...interesting"
i should stop my blabbering about the singapore idol peeps
points for them for their courage to perform in front of singapore

sis and i went to Icon
we just popped in hoping they had some available slot
quite crowded, but i didn't have to wait long
and at last it looks almost the way i would like it to be
now i can use less shampoo!
WOOHOO!
went for dinner with some sec school peeps
we went from place to place
talking and talking
1st we were at nydc for some mudpies, cakes and icecream
then to subway
later on to starbucks (there was this funny varnish like smell where we were sitting)
anyways
it was quite late already, no access to the toiles from starbucks
so we had to go through balaclava to get to the toilet
oh oh funny part -- when we were at balaclava's entrance, i think the guy didn't hear us properly that we wanted to get to the toilet
so he asked for our ICs to see if we were above 25 yrs old
at that moment i was thinking--"oh no! are we gonna be denied access to the toilet cos we're below 25??? nooooo....i seriously need to peeee! cann-ot ta-han any longerrr"
hahah
ayia but in the end he heard wad we wanted and let us through
before going back out of suntec, we decided to take some photos with the cows/bulls outside marche
oh we went crazy (maybe it's the varnish like smell from starbucks causing this behaviour...)
huiling moving around like a crab, jess looks like she's dancing and poorni looks like going bonkers
sis and i ran around with our hands up waving like siao
very funny....and we only left when we saw a security guard coming towards our direction...
hohoho.... FUN!

didn't really feel like a graduation
no sense of achievement....or at least not yet
oh wad the hell
no sense of acheivement
just 4 pieces of paper in a big brown envelope
and an empty red scroll box thingy
the diploma's not even in a nice hard folder thing
hai, no sense of achievement
how come they give such nice folders with ribbons and stuff to those award winners
and the other 95% of the cohort just a brown envelope
like the others not worth it (oei we pay school fees too!)
sigh
in the website they state "congratulations to all graduates on their GREAT achievement"
i totally agree that those who worked hard should be rewarded and recognised
but with regards to the recongition of achievement of the 5% and the rest of the 95%
boy they sure know how to show it
(pls be informed that this paragraph was written under the influence of the sudden sense/feeling of 'under-achievement'...so yea. lol)
the ceremony didn't feel special at all
more like an excuse for us to take more pics together...hahahhaah
everyone wearing almost the same thing - formal presentation attire
just feels like another formal presentation to me...only this time it's on a larger scale
speaking about attire, our batch may be the last batch to wear this black and white outfit
next time they're gonna have graduation jackets

my batch always so 'sway' (unlucky)
one of the years with the lowest birthrate(during that era)
1st batch that got introduced to that social studies subject in sec 3 (stupid LORMS)
no actual sec 3 camp
lousy primary 6 camp (we played jigsaw puzzles and learnt erm i think the 'cha cha', so wad do u think?)
no GPA calculation for us (the last batch without it)
are we like some transition batch huh
either the last batch of smth or the gunea(too lazy to check if it's spelt correctly) pigs of smth else...

lemme see
primary school....primary school....
not so fun really
the not so fun parts:
i dun really like most of the teachers
they like to terrorise little kids
i remember somehow i was VERY VERY afraid of one of the phy. ed teacher (ms yong)
and for most of the time i spent in the old primary school building (they moved the school to another old building while the even older building gets renovated), if i wanted to get to the canteen and ms yong was at the 1st table
i'd take a big detour to get to the back of the canteen
hmm, why was i so afraid of her...
maybe because once i tried to lie to her, said something about having a stomachache that day...hoping to skip phy. ed lesson (well, cos i forgot to bring my attire)
and apparently i'm such a terrible liar she said something like " do you think i'm a 3 year old kid..blah blah blah..."
and she brought me to the staff room where she kept PYJAMAS, yes pjs
and i had to wear pjs for that lesson
just imagine running around the field with pjs
!!??!!! the horror!
now for another not so fortunate incident
was in primary 3 i think
was playing a prank on my friend
pulled her chair back....erm and she fell backwards
i was punished to stand on the chair that whole period
oh another one, in primary 5
i wrote something in one of my classmates notebook
can't remember what i wrote...but she ended up showing it to the teacher
and the teacher brought me to the staff room again....not sure if she call my parents
ah but wadeverrr this teacher's called mdm koh
ya she likes to call me with my surname like this -Jacqueline TEE
it's not like there's another jacqueline in the class wad...sheesh...
dun think she likes me a lot....always seem to be finding some fault with me
oh ya, i must mention this, very funny
in pri 4 i forgot to bring my P.E.T.S worksheet
so as punishment, the teacher told me to go back and copy the whole unit out
and i literally did! i traced every single line under a torch light, the words, the pictures...everything! (eh i even used the torch light leh, hai so professional at such a young age...hahahahha! O why didn't i become an animator)
and teachers (or some teachers) liked to throw our assignments out of the door if it wasn't done properly
why are these teachers so argh...
was it because there wasn't enough guys in the school? ( i was from an all girls school, and the only guys were the security guard and i think another guy we called mee pok man)
..........
i dun think we were such bad kids
were we really so horrible?? huh huh huh??
anyways, there were many fun times too
maybe i'll put it in another post...
